Preschoolers prefer to learn from a competent robot than an incompetent human
Preschoolers prefer a competent robot over an incompetent human for learning, according to a study by Concordia University. The study compared two groups of 3- and 5-year-olds who were presented with correctly labeled objects by a robot and incorrectly by a human. The 5-year-olds preferred the robot's label, indicating their preference for a competent teacher. Children will choose to learn from a robot, even though they know it is not like them. Source
